Twin Brothers Arrested For Rash Of Burglaries

BALTIMORE (WJZ) ― After a string of burglaries around Patterson Park and Canton, police raid a home and seize many of the belongings that were stolen.

Suzanne Collins reports twin brothers have been arrested for the break-ins.

When police raided a home on Clinton Street, they say it was like entering an electronics warehouse--there were flat screen TVs, computer equipment, clock radios, DVD players and more, all reported stolen from homes near Patterson Park and in Canton.  Twin brothers Ronald and Ronnie Sinkler have been charged.

"I came home from work and I tried to open my front door and the padlock was locked from the inside, which was unusual," said burglary victim Micah Huerta.

Huerta found his home ransacked.  Luckily he was able to make an insurance claim and get new electronic equipment.  But just five weeks later, police say the Sinkler brothers struck Huerta's home again.

"It's a terrible feeling, a deep anxiety every time I come into my door and I wonder if my stuff is going to be there," Huerta said.

Police say they don't know if some of the stolen items were sold but they say five of the large screen TVs that were taken were set up for viewing in the house that they raided.

Good old-fashioned police work and a crime for which they were booked in the past led to the twins.

"At some point they left fingerprints.  Our experienced crime lab technicians were able to lift those fingerprints, process them and they really pointed right back to our suspects," said Det. Donny Moses, Baltimore City Police.

The Sinkler twins may have made another fatal error.

"I was really shocked--even my Xbox.  There's a profile with their names on my Xbox.  I don't think that's the smartest criminals in the world, you know," Huerta said.

Police also confiscated 35 bags of marijuana from the twins' home and they are still trying to figure out if a $600 Philip Stein watch one of the twins was wearing is stolen.

The Sinkler twins are facing 67 criminal counts.
