House Gives Final Approval To Budget

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) ―

The Maryland House of Delegates has given final approval for a state budget with more than $400 million in state-controlled spending reductions.

All told, when special and federal funds are considered, the House budget measure contains about $512 million in spending reductions.

The House voted 105-34 for the measure.

Now, the House and Senate will have to work out differences in their two versions of the budget bill. The Senate measure has a total of about $390 million in spending reductions.
