Mortgage Broker Sentenced On Fraud Charges
BALTIMORE (AP) ―
A Pikesville mortgage broker has been sentenced to eight years in prison for his conviction on fraud charges.
The U.S. attorney's office says 56-year-old Robin Snyder swindled commercial loan applicants by promising loans he couldn't make, then keeping the advance fees.
He was convicted earlier this year on charges of wire fraud, money laundering and obstruction of justice. Prosecutors say he continued the scheme after his arrest.
Authorities say Snyder has been ordered to pay restitution.
