About two dozen state lawmakers have formed a Biotechnology and Life Sciences caucus.

Delegate Dan Morhaim says the purpose of the caucus is to provide a forum for legislators who will work with agencies, academic centers and the private center to promote the life sciences in Maryland.

The caucus plans to meet next on Jan. 31.
