'Legally Blonde' Producer Has Baltimore Link

  Information About "Legally Blonde" Tickets

BALTIMORE (WJZ) ― There's a Baltimore connection to the musical "Legally Blonde" now playing at the Hippodrome Theatre.

Richard Sher reports show producer Amanda Lipitz was an aspiring actress who was in many shows at Park School.

"When I was in college my acting teacher told me I should become a producer. Imagine hearing that from your acting teacher. I worked hard and became the youngest producer on Broadway," Amanda said.

Amanda is 28.

The Baltimore production stars Becky Golsvig as Elle Woods, a beautiful, perky and very bright young woman, who chases her ex-boyfriend to Harvard and discovers herself.

"Elle learns to apply herself, how to really go for it," Becky told Sher.

She guarantees "people will leave the Hippodrome singing the songs, with smiles on their faces."

"Legally Blonde" runs now through Oct. 12.
