3 Teens Arrested For Attempting To Rob Shopper
HANOVER, Md. (WJZ) ―
Police arrest three teens attempting to rob a woman leaving Arundel Mills Mall.
The victim, a 24-year-old female, said she was walking away from the mall after shopping when she was approached by three females and a male. All four suspects blocked her path and the male suspect punched her and attempted to grab her purse.
The victim resisted and attempted to flee the area on foot, but was eventually tackled from behind by the suspects.
One of the teens struck her with a board during the assault. As the suspects were attempting to remove her purse, a citizen observed the assault and subsequently yelled at the suspects.
Consequently, all of the suspects fled on foot. They were later caught by officers.
The suspects were arrested and charged with Attempted Robbery and 2nd Degree Assault.
Police have identified a possible male suspect, but the 17-year-old had not been charged.
