Pedestrian Struck By Light Rail

A pedestrian was struck by a light rail train.

Maryland Transit Administration officials say a man's legs were severed when he was caught under the wheel of a light rail train.
The man was hit by the train departing from the corner of Howard and Fayette streets around 4:30 p.m. Monday.
MTA spokeswoman Jawauna Greene says witnesses reported that the man was running alongside the train, trying to board it.
The man was taken to Shock Trauma, but his condition was not immediately available.
