Fireworks, parades, the stars and stripes it's all part of America's 4th of July celebration.
This July 4 Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is heading to Iraq to visit U.S. troops.
"It will be over the fourth of July, so I think that will be pretty amazing. From what I've been told it's going to be dawn to midnight, a couple of hours sleep and back up again, taking helicopter flights and seeing as many troops as we can," said coach Harbaugh.
Coach Harbaugh is helping to launch a new tradition. It's called the Inaugural NFL-USO Coaches Tour.
While this is coach Harbaugh's first trip to Iraq, U.S. military personnel often visit the Ravens training camp in Owings Mills.
"It's going to be real exciting and challenging. I can't wait to get a chance to interact with all those fine men and women and it's going to be an honor to have a chance to do it," said coach Harbaugh.
The coach will spend the holiday a long way from his wife and family, it's a 6,000 mile journey from Baltimore to Baghdad.
"It is a sacrifice, because I want to spend time with my wife and daughter and the rest of our family. But it's going to be worth it and exciting. It will be a great experience. I'm sure we'll have a chance to share some things with them, but it's going to be ten fold coming back the other way," said Harbaugh.
New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin, Titans head coach Jeff Fisher, former Steelers head coach Bill Cowher and former Raiders and Buccaneers head coach John Grudenjoining will be joining coach Harbaugh on the Persian Gulf tour.
They are scheduled to leave on June 30.
