Jury Declines To Indict Teen On Murder Charges

CROFTON, Md. (WJZ) ― An Anne Arundel County grand jury decides not to indict 16-year-old Javel George on second degree murder charges.

George is charged with manslaughter in the May 30th beating death of 14-year-old Christopher Jones.

Police say Jones was approached by six teeangers while riding his bicyclce home and then attacked.

An autopsy revealed that Jones died of blunt force trauma.

George is still charged as an adult with manslaughter.

A 14-year-old from Crofton is also charged in Jones' death.

That person is being charged as a juvenile.
