Myers Succeeds Delegate Robert McKee

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) ― State lawmakers from western Maryland have elected Delegate LeRoy Myers to succeed former Delegate Robert McKee as their delegation chairman.

McKee announced his resignation from the House of Delegates Friday, shortly before the Washington County Sheriff's Department revealed that he is under investigation for possession of child pornography. McKee has not been charged.

McKee's resignation took effect Monday.

The (Hagerstown) Herald-Mail reported that Myers, a Republican from Washington County, was elected unanimously to the post.

Republican Delegate Susan Krebs of Carroll County was elected vice chairman. She succeeds Myers in that position.
