Baltimore City police say a murder suspect was shot by officers. The suspect is now clinging to life at an area hospital.

Baltimore County police say they were pursuing the man. That chase led them into West Baltimore and they ended up on Pen Lucy Road. That's when officials say he began firing at both city and county police, and those officers returned fire.

The suspect is in Shock Trauma in serious condition at this hour.

The officers involved will be placed on routine administrative leave.
