An investigation is underway in Baltimore County after two men are shot inside a convenience store.
Mike Schuh reports one person is dead and another person wounded after an unknown person opened fire in the store.
The shooting happened at Yours Convenience Store, which is located in the 700-block of Frederick Avenue in Catonsville.
The store's owner met police at the door of the store around 7 p.m. Tuesday night. Police say it was obvious to them that the man had suffered from a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was transported to Shock Trauma.
Another man lay dead on the floor near the front counter. Police say they believe he too was a victim of the shooter, not a suspect, and the shooter is still on the run.
"We want to get some more information to verify the information that we do have from the victim initially, and also from the witnesses that we're gathering, that the detectives are now gathering at this point. So when we can get that and we can verify some things, we'll be happy to release a suspect description to the public, so maybe they can help us," said Cpl. Mike Hill, Baltimore County Police spokesperson.
Police are still working to determine the deceased victim's connection to the store owner.
Investigators are also trying to determine if anything was taken from the store.
