Suspended Dixon Aide Won't Be Prosecuted

BALTIMORE (AP) ― The attorney representing Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon's suspended communications director Anthony McCarthy says he has been told McCarthy will not be prosecuted.

A news release from attorney A. Dwight Petit says he was informed by the Baltimore County State's Attorney's office that it is declining to prosecute and will be closing its files in the case.

McCarthy was put on leave in November after the Dixon administration found out that he was being investigated by Baltimore County police for a complaint of "inappropriate behavior."

Besides serving at City Hall, McCarthy was a pastor at Unity Fellowship Church of Baltimore.
