As part of our Community Commitment, WJZ is taking part in the Great Prostate Cancer Challenge.

WJZ is taking part in the Great Prostate Cancer Challenge.
The Great Prostate Cancer Challenge has three components.
- Free prostate screenings are given to men over 50, African-American men older than 40 and men with a first-degree relative with prostate cancer.
- A Patti LaBelle concert will be held Sept. 6 at 7:30 p.m. at Pier Six Pavilion.
WJZ's Vic Carter is the emcee.
- 5K run and 1-mile fun walk will be held Sept. 14 at 8 a.m. at St. Joseph Medical Center.
WJZ's Kai Jackson is the emcee. Then, later that morning, you can get free prostate screenings at St. Joseph Medical Center from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. Call
