Hundreds Get Flu Shot At High School Clinics

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) ―

Health officials say several hundred Washington County residents got flu shots at clinics at area high schools.

Rod MacRae, health department spokesman, wasn't sure how many doses were available, but estimates department would administer about 4,800 shots.

Friday's program was done to simulate a pandemic flu outbreak to see how long it would take to distribute as many shots as possible.

North Hagerstown High School nurse Lisa Mentzer says about 320 people were inoculated in 90 minutes there.
