McCormick Recalls Enchilada Sauce Mix With Milk

SPARKS, Md. (AP) ―

Spice maker McCormick & Co. has announced a voluntary national recall of an enchilada sauce mix because it contains undeclared milk ingredients.

The Sparks, Md.-based company said Tuesday the product is marked with UPC code 52100091600. People who are allergic to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume the enchilada sauce.

No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported. The mix was distributed to grocery stores across the country beginning Sept. 17 and comes in 1.5-ounce pouches with an expiration date of Aug. 29 printed on the back each pouch.

The company discovered that product with milk ingredients was distributed in packaging that did not declare the presence of milk.
