Annapolis Man Saves Crisfield Restaurant, Bar

CRISFIELD, Md. (AP) ― Annapolis businessman Jerry Hardesty says he bought the Side Street Seafood restaurant and Capt. Bud's Tiki Bar in Crisfield.
  
Hardesty says he'll operate the two adjacent venues on a seasonal basis.

Somerset County businessman Scott Tawes, who had the tiki bar mortgage, said Hardesty purchased both businesses for $250,000.
  
The two Crisfield businesses were saved from the auction block by Hardesty as the town transitions to being more of a maritime tourism destination and less of a waterfront town.
  
Two other Crisfield businesses weren't auctioned Monday because The National Bank of Cambridge says a vacant site near Side Street Seafood and another lot in the town were purchased.
