Reporters
Suzanne Collins
Suzanne Collins is one of the area's most decorated investigative reporters, honored by a number of organizations ranging from the Society of Professional Journalists to the Associated Press and the regional Radio-Television News Directors Association. Her well-researched reports have uncovered everything from government misuse of funds to abuse of the handicapped.
In 2001, a two-part Eyewitness News investigative report on illegal gun sales earned first-place honors for Suzanne and the station at the Gavel Awards, annually sponsored by the Maryland State Bar Association to recognize work done by stations in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
Suzanne joined WJZ in 1984 as a special projects producer and became an on-air reporter in 1988. She attended the University of Illinois and graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland.
Suzanne lives with her husband and two children north of Baltimore.
