Congratulations to U.S. Naval Academy Midshipman Blaine Moore, named the Academy's 45th Rhodes Scholar.
Moore, a chemistry major, is ranked number one in his class with a 4.0 average, and is the first mishipman ever to achieve a perfect score on the American Chemical Society's national exam in organic history.
"I never make my mind up that I'm going to be number one but my mother and father always taught me to do the very best I can. This is my goal," Moore told Richard Sher.
He is a Memphis native and he turns 22 Sunday.
"I'm terribly excited about studying in England. I know it's going to be an exhilerating experience," he said.
As for Saturday's Army/Navy game? "I'm sure Navy will win by at least three touchdowns."
